Lebanon launches free insurance initiative for Arab and foreign visitors

The Ministry of Information and Comin Insurance have launched a national initiative providing free insurance for Arab and foreign visitors to Lebanon, aimed at strengthening confidence in the country and supporting economic and investment activity.
The announcement was made at a seminar in the Ministry of Information building in Sanayeh, attended by Information Minister Paul Morcos, Comin Insurance chairman and general manager Roger Zakkar, and Lebanese, Arab and foreign media representatives.
Morcos praised the role the private sector can play alongside state institutions in supporting Lebanon’s image, saying the initiative carries a message of confidence and underlines the importance of public-private partnership.
Zakkar explained that any foreign visitor can benefit by downloading the Comin app, entering the required information and using the dedicated promo code, receiving insurance cover for the duration of their stay under the scheme’s terms.
He said he hoped cooperation would widen to other ministries and departments, primarily the ministries of tourism and foreign affairs, as well as media outlets.
